We strive to look through your eyes and design with you in mind. Designing is a process we will guide you through - all phases of your landscaping, based upon your own functional and aesthetic requirements.

We all know that we get what we pay for. If you talk to someone that knows 25 trees and shrubs, you will get one of those 25. There are over 30 varieties of Acacia, alone, that grow in our valley. Whereas if you talk to someone that knows thousands of plant varieties, how tall they grow, how wide, what soil types they like, sun exposure, their disadvantages, and the color of their bloom, you will receive a much more valuable and successful design.

Horticultural Frontiers offers two basic landscape programs:

Consultation:
Our consultation service is creative and, is often times, completely dependant upon our customers needs. We meet with you at your property, usually at your convenience and preferably with all parties involved, for approximately two to two and one half hours. We discuss function -

How many in your family
Kids
Pets
Elderly
How often you entertain
Number of people you entertain
How much maintenance you wish
Budget

We look at physical properties -

Views to enhance
Shaded area to create
Neighbors homes or unsightly structures that block the physical location in relationship to soil condition, sun exposure and drainage.

We listen to your ideas.

We give you different ideas.

We draw up a rough kitchen tabletop design, proportional, but not to exact scale.

We give you a detailed, line-item material list and price sheet that identifies to you what you are receiving and how much you are paying for it. This allows you to make consumer-wise, informed decisions as to phasing, omissions and reductions.

Our consultation rates are from $500 - $2500 dependent upon size and location. Satisfaction is guaranteed.

After the consultation, the drawing, material list and price sheet is yours to keep.

For the do-it-yourself people, our consultations are tailored toward an educational seminar that offers information on where to purchase supplies and how not to make the mistakes that homeowners traditionally make.

The consultation fee may be used toward your landscape installation. (Minimum Installation of $5000.00).

Complete Landscape Design Package:
Our more extensive landscape design package differs greatly in detail and the time we spend on visiting and envisioning your property.

In addition to the above described consultation, we take your design and specific information back to the drawing board and spend an additional 5 to 7 hours detailing a 24" x 36" drawing, usually in an 1/8th inch scale, that is neatly lettered and presented in a preliminary presentation at our second meeting.

We sit down again for approximately 1 to 2 hours and go over the entire project. This is another opportunity to change things, makes things bigger or smaller, add notes or comments on the drawing and ask questions. Some clients prefer to keep these preliminary drawings to mull over them as long as they need.

Then we create the final set of blueprints, with a color rendition which simplifies the reading of these prints.

Our fee for this complete landscape design package ranges from $1000.00 to $2500.00 dependent upon size and location. This design fee may be used toward your landscape installation. (Minimum Installation of $10,000.00).
